Dr Sarah Ruggins
CYCLIST
UNITED KINGDOM
Dr. Sarah Ruggins is an endurance cyclist, researcher, and record-breaker whose life sits at the intersection of athletic grit and academic precision. In 2025 she set the fastest known time for JOGLEJOG — riding from John o’Groats to Land’s End and back again — a 1,700-mile effort that demanded not just strength, but an almost surgical understanding of fatigue, recovery, pacing, and self-belief.
Sarah isn’t a typical ultra athlete. Her background in psychology and performance research has shaped the way she approaches big days on the bike: with curiosity, structure, and a deeply human appreciation for the mental patterns that emerge when the body is under strain.
